«إن في الجنة مائة درجة أعدها الله للمجاهدين في سبيل الله ما بين الدرجتين كما بين السماء والأرض فإذا سألتم الله فسلوه الفردوس فإنه أوسط الجنة وأعلى الجنة وفوقه عرش الرحمن ومنه تفجر أنهار الجنة»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"In Paradise there are a hundred degrees which Allah Almighty has prepared for those who strive (jihad) in His path. Between each two degrees is a distance like that between the heaven and the earth. So when you ask Allah, ask Him for al-Firdaws, for it is the middle of Paradise and the highest degree of Paradise; above it is the Throne of the Most Merciful, and from it the rivers of Paradise gush forth."
