«إن أول الآيات خروجا طلوع الشمس من مغربها وخروج الدابة على الناس ضحى فأيتهما ما كانت قبل صاحبتها فالأخرى على أثرها قريبا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, the first of the (major) signs (of the Hour) to appear will be the rising of the sun from the west and the emergence of the Beast of the Earth (Dabbat al-Ard, a creature of strange form) upon the people in the forenoon. Whichever of the two appears first, the other will appear immediately after it."
