«إن أمن الناس علي في ماله وصحبته أبو بكر ولو كنت متخذا خليلا لاتخذت أبا بكر خليلا ولكن أخوة الإسلام لا يبقين في المسجد خوخة إلا خوخة أبي بكر»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, among all people the one who has done me the greatest favour with his wealth and his companionship is Abu Bakr. If I were to take anyone (other than Allah) as a khalil (intimate friend), I would take Abu Bakr as a khalil, but the brotherhood of Islam (suffices). Let all the small doors opening into the mosque be closed except the small door of Abu Bakr."
