«احشدوا فإني سأقرأ عليكم ثلث القرآن فقرأ: {قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ} , وقال: ألا إنها تعدل ثلث القرآن»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Gather together, for I will recite to you a third of the Qur'an." Then he recited {Say: He is Allah, the One} [Surah al-Ikhlas: 1] and said: "Listen! Indeed it is equal to a third of the Qur'an."
