«إن الله تعالى لا يقبض العلم انتزاعا ينتزعه من العباد ولكن يقبض العلم بقبض العلماء حتى إذا لم يبق عالما اتخذ الناس رءوساء جهالا فسئلوا فأفتوا بغير علم فضلوا وأضلوا»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Allah Almighty will not take away knowledge by snatching it from (the hearts of) His servants; rather, He will take away knowledge by taking away the scholars (through death), until, when no scholar remains, people will take ignorant men as their leaders. They will then be asked questions and will give rulings without knowledge, so they will go astray themselves and lead others astray."
