«إن الله محسن يحب الإحسان فإذا قتلتم فأحسنوا القتلة وإذا ذبحتم فأحسنوا الذبح وليحد أحدكم شفرته ثم ليرح ذبيحته»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Allah Almighty is benevolent and loves excellence. So when you kill, kill in a good manner, and when you slaughter, slaughter in a good manner. Each of you should sharpen his blade well and then give ease to the animal he slaughters."
