«إن الله تعالى ليسأل العبد يوم القيامة حتى يسأله: ما منعك إذا رأيت المنكر أن تنكره؟ فإذا لقن الله العبد حجته قال: يا رب رجوتك وفرقت من الناس»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Allah Almighty will question the servant on the Day of Resurrection, until He asks him: 'When you saw evil, what prevented you from stopping it?' Then, when Allah Almighty teaches that servant his argument, he will say: 'O my Lord, I placed my hope in You and I feared the people.'"
