Sahih al-Jami al-Saghir 178 — Love your friend in moderation
«أحبب حبيبك هونا ما عسى أن يكون بغيضك يوما ما وأبغض بغيضك هونا ما عسى أن يكون حبيبك يوما ما»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Love your friend in moderation, for perhaps he may become your enemy one day; and hate your enemy in moderation, for perhaps he may become your friend one day."
