«إن الله أوحى إلي: أنه من سلك مسلكا في طلب العلم سهلت له طريق الجنة ومن سلبت كريمتيه أثبته عليهما الجنة وفضل في علم خير من فضل في عبادة وملاك الدين الورع»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Allah Almighty has revealed to me that whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, I make the path to Paradise easy for him; and whoever I deprive of his two precious things (that is, his eyes), I make Paradise obligatory for him in return for them; and excellence in knowledge is better than excellence in worship; and the foundation of the religion is scrupulous piety."
