«إن الله تعالى إذا أنعم على عبد نعمة يحب أن يرى أثر النعمة عليه ويكره البؤس والتباؤس ويبغض السائل الملحف ويحب الحيي العفيف المتعفف»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, when Allah Almighty bestows a blessing upon a servant, He loves that the trace of His blessing be seen upon that servant. He dislikes wretchedness and deliberately displaying poverty, He hates the beggar who clings and asks insistently, and He loves the modest, chaste one who refrains from asking."
