«أمرت بقرية تأكل القرى يقولون يثرب وهي المدينة تنفي الناس كما ينفي الكير خبث الحديد»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I have been commanded (to emigrate) to a town that will devour all other towns (i.e., prevail over them). People call it Yathrib, but it is Madinah. It expels the (evil) people from within it just as the bellows remove the impurities of iron."
