«اقسموا المال بين أهل الفرائض على كتاب الله فما تركت الفرائض فلأولى رجل ذكر»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Divide the wealth (of the deceased) among those entitled to fixed shares according to the Book of Allah; then whatever remains after the fixed shares belongs to the nearest male relative ('asabah)."
