Hadith 700
Ibn 'Umar reported that the Apostle (ﷺ) used to pray on (the back of) his camel in whatever direction it took him.

Ibn 'Umar reported: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was in a state of hurry on a journey, he combined the sunset and 'Isha' prayers.

ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، كَانَ إِذَا جَدَّ بِهِ السَّيْرُ ، جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ ، بَعْدَ أَنْ يَغِيبَ الشَّفَقُ ، وَيَقُولُ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " كَانَ إِذَا جَدَّ بِهِ السَّيْرُ ، جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ " .
Nafi' reported that when Ibn 'Umar was in a state of hurry on a journey, he combined the sunset and 'Isha' prayers after the twilight had disappeared, and he would say that when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was in a state of hurry on a journey, he combined the sunset and 'Isha' prayers.
Hadith 723
Ibn 'Umar reported that Hafsa, the Mother of the Believers, informed him that when the Mu'adhdhin became silent after calling (people) to the dawn prayer, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commenced the dawn (prayer) when it dawned by observing two short rak'ahs before the commencement of the (Fard) prayer.

And Zuhayr ibn Harb and Ubaydullah ibn Sa'id narrated to me, they said: Yahya, who is Ibn Sa'id, narrated to us from Ubaydullah, he said: Nafi' informed me from Ibn Umar. And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Abu Usamah narrated to us, Ubaydullah narrated to us from Nafi' from Ibn Umar, he said: "I prayed with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, two rak'ahs before Dhuhr and two after it, and two after Maghrib, and two after Isha, and two after Jumu'ah. As for Maghrib, Isha, and Jumu'ah, I prayed with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in his house."

ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى ، فَإِذَا خَشِيَ أَحَدُكُمُ الصُّبْحَ صَلَّى رَكْعَةً وَاحِدَةً ، تُوتِرُ لَهُ مَا قَدْ صَلَّى " .
Ibn 'Umar reported that a person asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the night prayer. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Prayer during the night should consist of pairs of rak'ahs, but if one of you fears morning is near, he should pray one rak'ah which will make his prayer an odd number for him.
Hadith 751
Ibn 'Umar said: He who prayed at night should make Witr the end of his prayer, for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered this.

عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ صَاحِبِ الْقُرْآنِ كَمَثَلِ الإِبِلِ الْمُعَقَّلَةِ ، إِنْ عَاهَدَ عَلَيْهَا أَمْسَكَهَا ، وَإِنْ أَطْلَقَهَا ذَهَبَتْ " ،
'Abdullah bin 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The example of a man who has memorised the Qur'an is like that of a hobbled camel. If he remained vigilant, he would be able to retain it (with him), and if he loosened the hobbled camel it would escape.
Hadith 789
This hadith has been narrated by Ibn 'Umar from the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) , but in the hadith transmitted by Musa bin 'Uqba, this addition is made:" When one who had committed the Qur'an to memory (or who is familiar with it) gets up (for night prayer) and recites it night and day, it remains fresh in his mind, but if he does not get up (for prayer and thus does not recite it) he forgets it."

Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Let not any one of you intend to observe prayer at the time of the rising of the sun or of the setting sun.

ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ فِي بَعْضِ أَيَّامِهِ ، فَقَامَتْ طَائِفَةٌ مَعَهُ وَطَائِفَةٌ بِإِزَاءِ الْعَدُوِّ ، فَصَلَّى بِالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ رَكْعَةً ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبُوا وَجَاءَ الْآخَرُونَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً ، ثُمَّ قَضَتِ الطَّائِفَتَانِ رَكْعَةً رَكْعَةً " ، قَالَ : وَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : " فَإِذَا كَانَ خَوْفٌ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَصَلِّ رَاكِبًا أَوْ قَائِمًا ، تُومِئُ إِيمَاءً " .
Ibn 'Umar (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed prayer in danger on some day (in this way): a group stood with him (the Holy Prophet) (for prayer) and the other group stood In front of the enemy. Then those who were with (him) observed one rak'ah of prayer and they went back and the others came and they observed one rak'ah (with him). Then both the groups completed one rak'ah each. Ibn 'Umar (RA) said: When there is greater danger, then observe prayer even on the ride or with the help of gestures in a standing posture.
Hadith 844
Abdullah is reported to have heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: When any one of you intends to come for Jumu'a prayer, he should take a bath.
Hadith 861
Ibn 'Umar said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to deliver the sermon on Friday while standing. He would then sit and then stand (for the second sermon) as they (the Muslims) do nowadays.
Hadith 882
Nafi' reported that when 'Abdullah (b. 'Umar) observed the Friday prayer and came back he observed two rak'ahs in his house, and then said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to do this.

عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ وَصَفَ تَطَوُّعَ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " فَكَانَ لَا يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ حَتَّى يَنْصَرِفَ ، فَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي بَيْتِهِ " ، قَالَ يَحْيَى : أَظُنُّنِي قَرَأْتُ " فَيُصَلِّي أَوْ أَلْبَتَّةَ " .
'Abdullah bin 'Umar, while describing the Nafl prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) , said: He did not observe (Nafl) prayer after Jumu'a till he went back and observed two rak'ahs in his house. Yahya said: I guess that I uttered these words (before Imam Malik) that he of course observed (them).
Hadith 888
Ibn 'Umar reported that the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) , Abu Bakr (RA) and 'Umar used to observe the two 'Id prayers before the sermon.
Hadith 927
'Abdullah bin 'Umar reported that Hafsa wept for 'Umar (when he was about to due). He ('Umar) said: Be quiet, my daughter. Don't you know that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had said:" The dead is punished because of his family's weeping over it"?

نَافِعٌ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ ، إِنَّ
أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ " ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : أَكْثَرَ عَلَيْنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ، فَبَعَثَ إِلَى
عَائِشَةَ فَسَأَلَهَا ، فَصَدَّقَتْ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : لَقَدْ فَرَّطْنَا فِي قَرَارِيطَ كَثِيرَةٍ .
Nafi' narrated that it was said to Ibn 'Umar that Abu Huraira reported to have heard Allah's Messenger (صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) as saying: He who follows the bier, for him is the reward of one qirat. Ibn 'Umar said: Abu Huraira narrated it too often. So he sent (a messenger to) 'A'isha to ascertain (the fact). She ('A'isha) testified Abu Huraira. Ibn 'Umar said: We missed so many qirats.

And it was narrated to us by Qutaybah ibn Sa'id, who said: Lays narrated to us. And it was narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Rumh, who informed us: Al-Layth. And Harmalah narrated to me, who informed us: Ibn Wahb, who informed me: Yunus, all from Ibn Shihab with this chain of narration. And in the narration of Yunus, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say. And it was narrated to us by Qutaybah ibn Sa'id, who said: Lays narrated to us. And it was narrated to us by Ibn Rumh, who informed us: Al-Layth, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, from Amir ibn Rabi'ah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "When one of you sees a funeral procession, if he is not walking with it, let him stand until it passes him, or until it is placed down before it passes him."
Hadith 958
It is reported on the authority of Ibn Juraij that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Should anyone amongst you see a bier he must stand up so long as it is within sight in case he does not intend to follow it.
Hadith 962
It is narrated on the authority of Waqid: Nafi' bin Jubair saw me and we were standing for a bier, while he was sitting and waiting for the bier to be placed on the ground. He said to me: What makes you keep standing? I said: I am waiting that the bier may be placed on the ground (and I am doing that) on the hadith narrated to me by Abu Sa'id al-Khudri. Upon this Nafi' said: Verily, Mas'ud bin Hakam reported to me on the authority of Hadrat 'Ali bin Abu Talib that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) stood up first (for a bier) and then sat down.

Ibn 'Umar (RA) said that Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) prescribed the payment of Zakat-ul-Fitr (on breaking the fast) of Ramadan for people, for every freeman, or slave, male and female among the Muslims- one sa' of dried dates, or one sa' of barley.

Ibn 'Umar said that the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) prescribed the Sadaqa of Ramadan (Sadaqat-al-Fitr) one sa' of dates or one sa' of barley for every free man or a slave, male or female, and then the people equalised (one sa' of dates or barley) with half a sa' of wheat.
Hadith 984
'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered the (payment of) Zakat-ul-Fitr one sa' of dates, or one sa' of barley. Ibn 'Umar ('Abdullah bin 'Umar) further said: The people equalised it (then) with two mudds of fine wheat.

Ibn 'Umar (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prescribed Zakat-ul-Fitr of Ramadan one sa' of dates or one sa' of barley for every individual among the Muslims (whether) free man or slave, male or female, young or old.

عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ، وَهُوَ يَذْكُرُ الصَّدَقَةَ ، وَالتَّعَفُّفَ عَنِ الْمَسْأَلَةِ : " الْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى ، وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا الْمُنْفِقَةُ ، وَالسُّفْلَى السَّائِلَةُ " .
'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA) reported that as Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was sitting on the pulpit and talking about Sadaqa and abstention from begging, he said: The upper hand is better than the lower one, the upper being the one which bestows and the lower one which begs.

يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى
مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ
ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ رَمَضَانَ ، فَقَالَ : " لَا تَصُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْا الْهِلَالَ ، وَلَا تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ ، فَإِنْ أُغْمِيَ عَلَيْكُمْ ، فَاقْدِرُوا لَهُ " .
Ibn 'Umar (RA) (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying in connection with Ramadan: Do not fast till you see the new moon, and do not break fast till you see it; but if the weather is cloudy calculate about it.
Hadith 1080

ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَكَرَ رَمَضَانَ ، فَضَرَبَ بِيَدَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : " الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا ، ثُمَّ عَقَدَ إِبْهَامَهُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ ، فَصُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ ، فَإِنْ أُغْمِيَ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْدِرُوا لَهُ ثَلَاثِينَ " ،
Ibn 'Umar (RA) reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) made a mention of Ramadan and he with the gesture of his hand said: The month is thus and thus. (He then withdrew his thumb at the third time). He then said: Fast when you see it, and break your fast when you see it, and if the weather is cloudy calculate it (the months of Sha'ban and Shawwal) as thirty days.

ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّمَا الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ ، فَلَا تَصُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ ، وَلَا تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ ، فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْدِرُوا لَهُ " .
Ibn'Umar (Allah be pleased with-both of them) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The month of Ramadan may consist of twenty-nine days. So do not fast till you have sighted it (the new moon) and do not break fast, till you have sighted it (the new moon of Shawwal), and if the sky is cloudy for you, then calculate.
Hadith 1080
'Abdullah bin 'Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The month (of Ramadan) may consist of twenty nine days; so when you see the new moon observe fast and when you see (the new moon again at the commencement of the month of Shawwal) then break It, and if the sky is cloudy for you, then calculate it (and complete thirty days).

ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُؤَذِّنَانِ : بِلَالٌ وَابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ الْأَعْمَى ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ بِلَالًا يُؤَذِّنُ بِلَيْلٍ ، فَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا ، حَتَّى يُؤَذِّنَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ " ، قَالَ : وَلَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَهُمَا ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَنْزِلَ هَذَا وَيَرْقَى هَذَا ،
Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had two Mu'adhdhins, Bilal (RA) and son of Umm Maktum, the blind. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Bilal (RA) announces Adhan at (the fag end of the) night (i. e. Sahri), so eat and drink till the son of Umm Maktum announces Adhan. And he (the narrator) said: And the (difference of time) between their (Adhans) was not more than this that one climbed down (from the minaret) and the other climbed up (to announce Adhan).
