Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) says concerning the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, "And for the one who fears standing before his Lord there are two gardens" [Surah al-Rahman: 46]: Two gardens of gold will be for the Sabiqun (the foremost), and two gardens of silver will be for the Tabi'un (those who follow).
This chain is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but they did not record it in this way; they recorded, by way of Abu Imran al-Jawni, only the words "two gardens of silver", and there is no mention in it of the foremost and those who follow.

I heard Abu al-Hasan Ali bin Umar al-Hafiz saying that he heard Abu al-Fadl the Wazir saying that he heard Ma'mun al-Misri, who said: I asked Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Nasa'i why Imam Bukhari abandoned the hadiths of Hammad bin Salamah. He replied: By Allah! Hammad bin Salamah is far better and more truthful than Isma'il bin Abi Uways. Then he mentioned a long account, the gist of which was a discussion about taking the narration of al-Harith bin Ubayd in place of the narration of Hammad.
