Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (2) The chain is sahih. Technical note: Abd Allah bin Muhammad refers to Ibn Shirawayh al-Azdi, and Ishaq refers to Ibn Rahawayh. Reference / Source: It is in "Musannaf Abd al-Razzaq" (3054) and "Musnad Ahmad" 10/ (6347), and in them "leaning on the hand in the prayer" is mentioned. Reference / Source: It was narrated by Abu Dawud (992) through Imam Ahmad and Abd al-Razzaq. Repetition: It will come later at number (1020) by way of Hisham bin Yusuf, with the addition: "That is the prayer of the Jews." Hisham is thiqah and mutqin (precise). Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (994) narrated it as "mawquf" through Hisham bin Sa'd from Nafi' from Ibn Umar: Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a man sitting leaning on his left hand and forbade him, saying: "This is how those who are being punished sit." Hisham bin Sa'd's narration is worthy of consideration, although he is prone to errors. (7896). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: See the hadith of 'Amr bin al-Sharid from his father, which comes later at number (7896).
