It is narrated from Sayyiduna Aws bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, among the best of your days is Friday. On it Adam (peace be upon him) was created, on it his soul was taken, on it the Trumpet will be blown, and on it everyone will fall senseless (from the terror of the Trumpet). So send abundant blessings (salawat) upon me on that day, for your blessings are presented to me." The Companions said: How will our blessings be presented to you (after your death) when your blessed body will have mingled with the earth and decayed? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
