Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 8494

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever hangs a seashell (as protection), may Allah not grant him peace; and whoever hangs a tamimah (an amulet, a string of beads and the like), may Allah not fulfil his wish."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
