حدَّثَناه أبو جعفر محمد بن أحمد بن سعيد المُذكِّر، حَدَّثَنَا أبو زُرْعة عبيد الله بن عبد الكريم الرازي، حَدَّثَنَا إبراهيم بن موسى، حَدَّثَنَا عيسى بن يونس (5)، حَدَّثَنَا عثمان بن حَكِيم، عن زياد بن عِلاقة - واللفظُ لحديث أبي زُرعة الإمام (1) - حَدَّثَنَا أسامة بن شَريك، قال: كنّا جلوسًا عند النَّبِيّ ﷺ كأنما على رؤوسنا الطيرُ، لا يتكلّمُ مِنَّا مُتكلِّمٌ، إذ جاءه ناسٌ من الأعراب فقالوا: يا رسول الله، أفْتِنا في كذا، أفْتِنا في كذا، فقال: "يا أيها الناس، وَضَعَ الله الحَرَجَ إِلَّا مَن اقتَرَض لأخيه عِرْضًا، فذلك الذي حَرِجَ وهَلَك". قالوا: أفنَتَداوى يا رسول الله؟ قال: "نعم، إنَّ الله ﷿ لم يُنزِلْ داءً إِلَّا أَنزل له شفاءً، غيرَ داءٍ واحد" قالوا: وما هو يا رسول الله؟ قال: "الهَرَمُ". قالوا: فمن أحبُّ عبادِ الله إلى الله؟ قال: "أحسَنُهم خُلُقًا" (2). ومنهم شَيْبانُ بن عبد الرحمن النَّحْوي:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Usamah bin Sharik (may Allah be pleased with him) that we were sitting in the company of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with such utmost reverence and composure that it was as if birds were perched on our heads, and none of us was speaking. Meanwhile, some Bedouins came to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and began asking about various matters: "O Messenger of Allah! Tell us about such-and-such; give us a ruling about such-and-such." So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O people! Allah Almighty has lifted hardship, except for the one who unjustly attacks the honour of his brother; that is the one who has fallen into sin and is ruined." They said: "O Messenger of Allah! Should we use medicine (in illness)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes. Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has not sent down any disease without sending down a cure for it, except for one disease." They said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is it?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Old age." They asked: "Who among His servants is most beloved to Allah?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who are best in character."

(1) من قوله: "عبيد الله بن عبد الكريم" إلى هنا سقط من (ب)، وأثبتناه من (ز) و (ك) و (م)، وفيها بعده زيادة: "حَدَّثَنَا عثمان بن حكيم، حَدَّثَنَا زياد بن علاقة" وهو خطأ.
Note / Clarification: (1) The text from "Ubayd Allah bin Abd al-Karim" up to here is missing from manuscript (B); we have established it from (Z), (K) and (M). These manuscripts have after it the addition: "haddathana Uthman bin Hakim, haddathana Ziyad bin Ilaqah", which is an error.
(2) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن في المتابعات والشواهد من أجل أبي جعفر المذكّر شيخ المصنّف.
Grading: (2) This hadith is sahih, and this chain is "hasan" in corroborations and supporting reports (al-mutaba'at wa al-shawahid) because of the author's shaykh "Abu Ja'far al-Mudhakkir".
