It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man vowed to pray in Bayt al-Maqdis. He asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about it, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Pray here," meaning in al-Masjid al-Haram. He said (again): O Messenger of Allah! I vowed to pray in Bayt al-Maqdis! He (peace and blessings be upon him) said (again): "Pray here."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
