حدثنا عمرو بن محمد بن منصور العَدْل، حدثنا السَّرِي بن خُزيمة، حدثنا مسلم بن إبراهيم، حدثنا شُعبة، عن سليمان، عن أبي ظَبْيان، عن ابن عباس أنه قال: يقول الله ﵎: ﴿فَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَافَّ﴾ [الحج: 63]، قال: قِيامًا على ثلاثِ قوائم معقولةً: باسم الله والله أكبر، اللهمَّ منك وإليك (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "So mention the name of Allah over them when lined up" [Surah al-Hajj: 36] that (it means the animal should be) standing on three legs with one leg tied, and (while slaughtering one should say): 'Bismillahi wallahu akbar, Allahumma minka wa ilayk' "In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, this is from You alone and (sacrificed) for You alone."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(2) إسناده صحيح. مسلم بن إبراهيم: هو الأزدي البصري، وسليمان هو ابن مهران الأعمش، وأبو ظبيان: هو حُصين بن جندب.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Muslim bin Ibrahim is al-Azdi al-Basri, Sulayman is Sulayman bin Mihran al-A'mash, and Abu Zabyan is Husayn bin Jundub.
وأخرجه الطبري في "تفسيره" 17/ 164 من طريق محمد بن إبراهيم بن أبي عدي، عن شعبة، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabari narrated it in his "Tafsir" (17/164) via Muhammad bin Ibrahim bin Abi 'Adi from Shu'bah bin al-Hajjaj, with this same chain.
وسلف برقم (3507).
