أخبرنا أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المحبوبي، حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا همّام بن يحيى، عن قَتَادة، عن أبي ميمونة، عن أبي هريرة قال: قلتُ: يا رسولَ الله، أنبِئْني عن أمرٍ إذا أخذتُ به دخلتُ الجنة، قال: "أَفشِ السلامَ، وأطعمِ الطعامَ، وصِلِ الأرحامَ، وقمْ بالليل والناسُ نِيامٌ، وادخُل الجنَّةَ بسلام" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! Tell me of a deed by adopting which I will enter Paradise. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spread the greeting of peace (salam), feed people, maintain the ties of kinship, and stand (in prayer) at night while people are asleep; you will enter Paradise in peace."
This hadith has an authentic (sahih) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) إسناده صحيح. أبو ميمونة: هو الفارسي المدني، ومنهم من فرّق بين الفارسي والأبّار، واختلفوا في اسمه على أقوال، وهو ثقة.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Maymunah refers to "al-Farisi al-Madani"; some hadith scholars distinguished between al-Farisi and al-Abbar. There are several opinions about his name, but he himself is "thiqah" (trustworthy).
وأخرجه أحمد 13/ (7932) عن يزيد بن هارون، بهذا الإسناد. وذكر في أوله زيادة. وسيأتي من هذا الطريق مع الزيادة برقم (7465).
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Imam Ahmad 13/(7932) via Yazid bin Harun, with this same chain, and he also mentioned an addition at its beginning; this hadith will come later through this same route and with the addition at number (7465).
وأخرجه تامًّا ومختصرًا أحمد (8295) و (8296)، وابن حبان (508) و (2559) من طرق عن همام بن يحيى، به.
