Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7313

حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا محمد بن إسحاق الصَّغاني، حدثنا العباس بن الفضل الأزرق، حدثنا مهدي بن ميمون، عن شعيب بن الحَبْحاب، عن أنس: أنَّ النبيَّ ﷺ كان يأكلُ الرُّطَبَ، ويُلقِي النَّوى على القُنْعُ؛ والقُنْعُ: الطَّبق (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to eat fresh dates and would put their stones on "al-qun'"; and "al-qun'" means a tabaq (a plate or tray).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(3) إسناده ضعيف جدًّا، العباس بن الفضل - وهو ابن عباس بن يعقوب - الأزرق متفق على ضعفه، واتهمه ابن معين.
Grading: Its chain is "extremely weak" (da'if jiddan).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): There is agreement on the weakness of al-Abbas bin al-Fadl al-Azraq, and Ibn Ma'in even accused him (of lying).
ولم نقف عليه عند غير المصنف.
Note / Clarification: We have not found this narration in any book other than that of the author (al-Hakim).
