It is narrated from Muhammad bin Umar (al-Waqidi) that at the time of the emigration all the men and women of Banu Ghanm bin Dudan set out, until the doors of their houses were shut. Among the women who emigrated were Zaynab, Habibah and Hamnah (the daughters of Jahsh), Aminah bint Ruqaysh, Umm Habibah bint Nubatah and Judamah bint Jandal. Judamah bint Jandal was married to Unays bin Qatadah, a Companion from the Ansar, who took part in the Battle of Badr and was martyred at Uhud. Judamah lived on after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and narrated from him (peace and blessings be upon him).
