Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7068

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabi'ah that the first of the emigrant women to arrive in Madinah riding on a camel was Sayyidah Layla bint Abi Hathmah (may Allah be pleased with her), and accompanying her was her husband, Amir bin Rabi'ah (may Allah be pleased with him).

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): (1) This had dropped from the manuscripts; we have restored it from "Tabaqat Ibn Sa'd" 3/ 360, Ibn Abi 'Asim's "al-Ahad wa al-Mathani" (322) and other books.

Technical note / Defect ('illah): (2) In the manuscripts it is "shadd" (without alif), except manuscript (S), which has "shaddan"; what we have recorded (in the text) is taken from "Sirat Ibn Hisham".

Technical note / Defect ('illah): (1) In the manuscripts this was distorted into "jamal" (camel); the correction was made from the sources of takhrij, including al-Bayhaqi's "al-Dala'il", who narrates from al-Hakim.
