Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7053

Muhammad bin Umar (al-Waqidi) said: Arwa bint Abdul Muttalib had accepted Islam. It is narrated from Sayyidah Barrah bint Abi Tajrah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: Quraysh did not deny the Duha (forenoon) prayer; rather, they objected to its timing. (Imam al-Hakim says:) I say: This hadith is just as it has passed before; it is repeated here, so take note.
Imam al-Hakim says: This is a hadith which the people of Madinah have narrated with this chain, and Imam al-Waqidi is foremost in this field (of history and biography) and has given his judgement on it, whereas Hisham bin Urwah denied that any of the daughters of Abdul Muttalib other than Sayyidah Safiyyah (the mother of al-Zubayr) accepted Islam. And Allah knows best. Among the women of Quraysh who narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is Fatimah bint Qays bin Wahb bin Tha'labah bin Wa'il bin Amr bin Shayban bin Muharib bin Fihr.
