أخبرنا أبو العبّاس محمد بن أحمد المحبوبي، حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود، حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى، أخبرنا إسرائيل، عن أبي إسحاق، عن البراء قال: كان أولَ من قدم علينا من المهاجرين مصعبُ بن عُمير (5).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with him) that the first of the Muhajirun to come to us in Madinah was Sayyiduna Mus'ab bin Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him).

(5) إسناده صحيح. إسرائيل: هو ابن يونس بن عمرو السبيعي، وأبو إسحاق: هو جدُّه، والبراء: هو ابن عازب. Grading: Its chain is sahih. Verification of names: Isra'il is Isra'il bin Yunus bin 'Amr al-Sabi'i, Abu Ishaq is his grandfather, and al-Bara' is the Companion of the Messenger, al-Bara' bin 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with him). وأخرجه في آخر حديث الهجرة الطويل أحمد 1/ (3) عن عمرو بن محمد العنقزي، وابن حبان (6281) و (6870) من طريق عبد الله بن رجاء الغداني، كلاهما عن إسرائيل، بهذا الإسناد. وسيتكرر برقم (6814). Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it at the end of the long hadith of the Hijrah (1/ 3) from 'Amr bin Muhammad al-'Anqazi, and Ibn Hibban (6281 and 6870) via 'Abd Allah bin Raja' al-Ghudani; both of them from Isra'il, with this same chain. It will be repeated at hadith number (6814). وسلف من طريق شعبة عن أبي إسحاق برقم (4300) بأطول ممّا هنا. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: This narration has already passed via Shu'bah, from Abu Ishaq, at hadith number (4300), in a longer form than the text here.
