It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Sulaym al-Muzani that he heard Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Amr al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The Rock (of Bayt al-Maqdis) and the Ajwah (dates) are from Paradise." (After this)
There is mention of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Ubayy bin Salul (may Allah be pleased with him), who was the believing son of a hypocrite father.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the manuscripts the word here has been corrupted into "Isma'il".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Its narrators are thiqah (trustworthy) and well known except 'Amr bin Sulaym al-Muzani, since al-Mushamma'il bin Iyas is the only one who narrates from him, and his being declared trustworthy is reported only from Imam al-Nasa'i, as in "Tahdhib al-Kamal"; but there is hesitation about the soundness of this report from Imam al-Nasa'i, because he did not include any narration from him in his books, and 'Amr is not known anywhere apart from this hadith. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it at (15508) and (20341) from Yahya bin Sa'id al-Qattan and at (20345), while Ibn Majah narrated it at (3456) from 'Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi; both are narrated with this chain. Details of the narration: Yahya's wording is "al-'ajwah wa al-shajarah" (the 'ajwah and the tree), while Ibn Mahdi gave the wording "al-'ajwah wa al-sakhrah" (the 'ajwah and the rock). Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it at (20344) with the chain of 'Abd al-Samad bin 'Abd al-Warith from al-Mushamma'il, in which al-Mushamma'il was in doubt whether the wording is "al-'ajwah wa al-sakhrah" or "al-'ajwah wa al-shajarah". (8446). Note / Clarification: This narration will come again later with the author (al-Hakim) at numbers (7311), (7312), (7637) and (8446). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: On this subject there is a narration from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) or another Companion with Imam Ahmad (11453) in these words: "The 'ajwah is from Paradise." Grading: Its chain is da'if (weak). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: There is also a narration from Buraydah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) with Imam Ahmad (22938) and (22972): "The 'ajwah is among the fruits of Paradise." Grading: Its chain is also da'if (weak). Note / Clarification: The 'ajwah is a particular variety of the dates of Madinah. Al-Munawi writes in "Fayd al-Qadir" 4/ 376 that according to "al-Matali'" what is meant is that it resembles the 'ajwah of Paradise in shape and name, not in delight, because the food of Paradise is not like the food of this world. According to al-Qadi 'Iyad what is meant is an emphasis on its special blessing and benefit, as though it were the food of Paradise. 21/ (13944). Important point: Regarding "al-sakhrah" (the rock), al-Sindi quoted al-Suyuti that it refers to the Rock of Bayt al-Maqdis, but in our view the correct view is that it refers to the "Black Stone", because it is established from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) as mawquf that the Black Stone is from Paradise. (Musnad Ahmad 21/ 13944). Note / Clarification: Regarding "al-shajarah" (the tree), al-Sindi writes that it means the tree of this same date, and this is the meaning that is apparently understood, while according to al-Munawi it means the grapevine or the tree of the Pledge of Ridwan.
