حدثنا محمد بن صالح، حدثنا السَّرِيّ بن خُزَيمة، حدثنا موسى بن إسماعيل، حدثنا حجَّاج، أخبرنا حُمَيد: أنَّ أنس بن مالك حدَّثَ بحديثٍ عن رسول الله ﷺ فقال رجل: أنت سمعتَه من رسول الله ﷺ؟ فغَضِبَ غضبًا شديدًا وقال: واللهِ ما كلُّ ما نحدِّثكم به سَمِعناه من رسول الله ﷺ، ولكن كان يُحدِّثُ بعضُنا بعضًا، ولا يَتَّهِمُ بعضُنا بعضًا (2). ذكرُ معرفة جماعة من الصحابة وما انتَهى إلينا من مَناقبِهم تأخَّر ذِكرُهم عن المذكورِين ومعرفةِ ولادتِهم وأَوقاتِ وفاتهم ﵃ فمنهم: حَمَل بن مالك بن النَّابغة الهُذَلي
It is narrated from Humayd that Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and a man asked: "Did you hear this yourself from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" At this he became extremely angry and said: "By Allah! Not everything we narrate to you did we hear ourselves from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); rather, some of us used to narrate (hadiths) to others, and we did not accuse one another (of lying)."

(2) إسناده صحيح. حجاج: هو ابن حسان القيسي البصري، وحميد: هو ابن أبي حميد الطويل. وأخرجه ابن سعد في "الطبقات" 5/ 331، وابن أبي عاصم في "السنة" (816) و (817)، والطحاوي في "أحكام القرآن" (426) و (427)، والطبراني في "الكبير" (699)، والخطيب البغدادي في "الجامع لأخلاق الراوي والسامع" (100) من طرق عن حميد الطويل، به. والحديث الذي حدَّث به أنس هو حديث الشفاعة.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
