أخبرني محمد بن المؤمل بن الحسن، حدثنا الفضل بن محمد الشَّعْراني، حدثنا أحمد بن حَنبل، حدثنا الحَكَم بن نافع، حدثنا إسماعيل بن عيّاش، عن هشام ابن عُرْوة، عن أبيه: أنَّ عبد الله بن الزُّبير وعبد الله بن جعفر بايَعَا النبيَّ ﷺ وهما ابنا سبعِ سنين، وأنَّ رسول الله ﷺ لما رآهما تَبسَّم وبَسَطَ يدَه فبايَعَهما (2).

Hisham bin Urwah narrates from his father that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with them) pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when they were both only seven years old. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw them, he (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled, stretched out his blessed hand and took the pledge from both of them.

Grading: This chain is "hasan" on account of Isma'il bin 'Ayyash.
وأخرجه أبو القاسم البغوي في "معجم الصحابة" (1478)، ومن طريقه ابن عساكر في "تاريخ دمشق" 27/ 257 عن محمد بن زنجويه، عن أبي اليمان الحكم بن نافع بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Abu al-Qasim al-Baghawi in "Mu'jam al-Sahabah" (1478), and via him by Ibn 'Asakir in "Tarikh Dimashq" (27/ 257), from Muhammad bin Zanjawayh, from Abu al-Yaman al-Hakam bin Nafi', with this chain.
وأخرجه الطبراني في "الكبير" (14763)، و "الأوسط" (3402)، وابن عبد البر في "التمهيد" 12/ 247 - 248 من طريق سليمان بن عبد الرحمن الدمشقي، وأبو نعيم في "معرفة الصحابة" (1448) - ومن طريقه ابن عساكر 28/ 16 - من طريق الحسن بن عرفة، كلاهما عن إسماعيل بن عيّاش، به. غير أنَّ الحسن بن عرفة ذكر جعفر بن الزبير مكان عبد الله بن جعفر، وروايته شاذَّة. وانظر ما سلف برقم (6466).
Reference / Source: It was narrated by al-Tabarani in "al-Kabir" (14763) and "al-Awsat" (3402), and by Ibn 'Abd al-Barr in "al-Tamhid" (12/ 247-248), via Sulayman bin 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dimashqi; and by Abu Nu'aym in "Ma'rifat al-Sahabah" (1448) — and via him by Ibn 'Asakir (28/ 16) — via al-Hasan bin 'Arafah (both narrating from Isma'il bin 'Ayyash).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Al-Hasan bin 'Arafah mentioned "Ja'far bin al-Zubayr" in place of "'Abd Allah bin Ja'far" in his narration, and his narration is "shadh" (anomalous). For further detail see the earlier number (6466).
