Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 6551

It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma' bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "For the people there is one emigration, but for you (the emigrants to Abyssinia) there are two emigrations."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs did not record it!

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): In manuscript (B) it is written "Muhammad bin 'Abd Allah bin Muhammad al-Duraqi", with the word "Muhammad" added at the start of the name, while according to manuscripts (S) and (M) the correct name is the one in the text.
Reference / Source: For his biography see "Tarikh al-Islam" (8/ 256). The attribution "al-Duraqi" is to his maternal grandfather Ahmad bin Ibrahim al-Duraqi. His shaykh Muhammad bin Ishaq is Abu Bakr bin Khuzaymah, as the author (al-Hakim) has specified in other places.

Grading: The hadith is sahih, while this chain is weak.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Three narrators of this chain — Ishaq al-Sawwaf, Yahya bin Rashid (al-Mazini al-Basri) and Yahya bin 'Abd Allah bin Abi Burdah (who is Yahya bin Burayd bin 'Abd Allah) — are "layyin" (weak); however, this hadith has also been narrated through other routes.
Reference / Source: It was narrated from Yahya's father, Burayd bin 'Abd Allah, by "Abu Usamah Hammad bin Usamah", as found in al-Bukhari and Muslim. Its takhrij has already passed under number (5007), where the author narrated it via 'Adi bin Thabit, from Abu Burdah.
