أخبرنا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق ﵄، حدثنا إسماعيل ابن قُتَيبة، حدثنا أبو بكر وعثمان ابنا أبي شَيْبة قالا: حدثنا عَبْدةُ بن سليمان، عن هشام بن عُرْوة، عن وهب بن كَيْسان قال: قيل لجابر بن عبد الله: يا أبا عبدِ الله (3).
It is narrated from Wahb bin Kaysan that Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) was addressed (by his kunyah): "O Abu Abdullah!"

(3) إسناده صحيح، وهو قطعة من حديثه في قصة سرية كان فيها وعليهم أبو عبيدة بن الجراح، فنفذ زادهم فقذف إليهم البحر حوتًا أكلوا منه ثمانية عشر يومًا.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Details of the narration: This is a fragment of a long hadith containing the story of the expedition (sariyyah) whose commander was Abu 'Ubaydah bin al-Jarrah (may Allah be pleased with him). When their provisions ran out, the sea cast out a huge fish (hut) for them, which they kept eating for eighteen days.
وأخرجه مع هذه القطعة البخاري (2983)، وابن ماجه (4159)، والترمذي (2475)، والنسائي (4844) من طرق عن عبدة بن سليمان، بهذا الإسناد.
