حدثني أبو بكر بن أبي دارِمٍ الحافظ بالكوفة، حدثنا أحمد بن موسى ابن إسحاق التَّميمي، حدثنا مالك بن إسماعيل النَّهْدي، حدثنا عبد الله بن جعفر المَحْرَمي، حدثني أبو المَلِيح، عن ميمون بن مهران قال: سمعت عبدَ الله بنَ عمر يقول: كَفَفْتُ يدي فلم أُقِدمْ، والمقاتلُ على الحق أفضلُ (2). قال الحاكم ﵀: شرحُ هذا الحديث وبيانُه:
It is narrated from Maymun bin Mihran that he said: I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saying: "I held back my hands (during the tribulations) and did not advance, whereas fighting for the truth was more virtuous."
