Mustadrak al-Hakim 6443 — Mention of the death of Abdullah bin Abbas

أخبرني محمد بن يعقوب الحافظ، أخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق الثَّقفي، حدثنا عمر بن محمد بن الحسن الأَسَدي، حدثنا أبي، حدثنا أشعثُ، عن محمد ابن الحنفيَّةِ: أنه كبَّر على ابن عبّاس أربعًا، وقال: هَلَكَ رَبَّاني هذه الأُمة (1).

It is narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyyah that he said four takbirs over (the funeral of) Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said: "Today the Rabbani (great scholar) of this Ummah has departed."
