أخبرنا الشيخ أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا إسماعيل بن قُتَيبة، حَدَّثَنَا محمد بن عبد الله بن نُمَير قال: مات أبو إسحاق سعد بن أبي وقّاص وهو ابن خمسٍ وسبعين سنةً بالمدينة، وصلَّى عليه مروانُ بن الحَكَم وهو والِيها.
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr that Abu Ishaq Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) died in Madinah at the age of seventy-five, and Marwan bin al-Hakam led his funeral prayer, as he was its governor at that time.
