Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 6168

It is narrated from Mus'ab bin Abdullah al-Zubayri that Sayyiduna Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) lived sixty years in the time of Jahiliyyah and sixty years in the time of Islam. His kunyah was Abu al-Walid. His full lineage is Hassan bin Thabit bin al-Mundhir bin Haram bin Amr bin Zayd Manat bin Adi bin Amr bin Malik bin al-Najjar. He was the special poet of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). His mother's name was al-Furay'ah bint Khalid bin Khunays bin Lawdhan bin Abd Wadd. According to one view he passed away before 40 AH, and according to another view in 55 AH.
