حدثني أبو بكر بن بالَوَيهِ، حدثني إبراهيم بن إسحاق الحَرْبي، حدثنا مصعب بن عبد الله، قال: عبد الرحمن بن عُثمانَ بن عُبيد الله بن عُثمان بن عَمرو بن كعب بن سَعْد بن تَيْم بن مُرَّةَ، وهو ابن أخي طَلْحة بن عُبيد الله، وأمُّه عُمَيرة بنت جُدْعان بن عَمرو بن كعب بن سعد بن تَيْم بن مُرّة، أختُ عبدِ الله بن جُدْعان القُرشي.
Mention of the virtues of Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Uthman bin Ubaydullah al-Taymi: He was the nephew of Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaydullah (may Allah be pleased with him). His mother was Umayrah bint Jud'an, the sister of Abdullah bin Jud'an, a famous (generous) figure of Quraysh.
