حدثني محمد بن صالح بن هانئ، حدثنا محمد بن شاذان وأحمد بن سَلَمة، قالا: حدثنا قُتيبة بن سعيد، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن محمد، عن سُهيل بن أبي صالح، عن أبيه، عن أبي هُريرة، قال: قال رسولُ الله ﷺ: "نِعمَ الرجلُ مُعاذُ بن عمرو بن الجَمُوح" (3). صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What an excellent man Mu'adh bin Amr bin al-Jamuh is!"
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(3) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد قوي من أجل عبد العزيز بن محمد: وهو الدَّراوردي. أحمد بن سلمة هو النيسابوري.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and this chain is "strong" (qawi) on account of Abd al-Aziz bin Muhammad al-Darawardi. Ahmad bin Salamah is al-Naysaburi.
وأخرجه أحمد 15/ (9431)، والترمذي (3795) عن قتيبة بن سعيد، بهذا الإسناد. وقال الترمذي: حديث حسنٌ.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (15/9431) and al-Tirmidhi (3795) narrated it from Qutaybah bin Sa'id, with this chain. Al-Tirmidhi said: This hadith is "hasan".
وقد تقدَّم برقم (5102) من طريق عبد العزيز بن أبي حازم عن سُهيل.
Note / Clarification: It has already passed at number (5102) through the route of Abd al-Aziz bin Abi Hazim, from Suhayl.
