حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أحمد بن عبد الجبار، حدثنا يونس بن بُكَير، عن ابن إسحاق، فيمن شَهِد الخَندقَ: زيدُ بنُ ثابت بن الضحّاك بن لَوْذان بن عمرو بن عبد عوف بن غَنْم بن مالك بن النَّجّار، وكان فيمن يَنقُل الترابَ يومئذٍ مع المسلمين.
It is narrated from Ibn Ishaq, in the mention of those who took part in the battle of the Trench, that Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit bin al-Dahhak bin Lawdhan bin Amr bin Abd Awf bin Ghanm bin Malik bin al-Najjar (may Allah be pleased with him) was among those who were carrying earth (from the Trench) along with the Muslims on that day.
