It is narrated from Mus'ab bin Abdullah al-Zubayri that Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit bin al-Fakih bin Tha'labah bin Sa'idah bin Amir bin Anan bin Amir bin Khatmah (may Allah be pleased with him) is the one who is called "Dhu al-Shahadatayn". The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made his testimony alone equal to the testimony of two men. He informed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he had seen in a dream as though he were prostrating on the forehead of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lay down (to fulfil his dream) until he prostrated on his (peace and blessings be upon him) forehead. He was martyred at the Battle of Siffin after the martyrdom of Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him).

Grading: As for the story of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) making the testimony of Khuzaymah equal to the testimony of two men, it is sahih and established, as preceded at numbers (2217) and (2218). As for the story of his dream, Imam Ahmad (36/ 21863, 21864, 21882 and 21885) and others recorded it, but its chain has "idtirab" (inconsistency), as is explained in the commentary on "al-Musnad".
