Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 5630

It is narrated from Ibn Ishaq: The first of the Muhajirun to come to Madinah was Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him), and the first to come (in emigration) after Abu Salamah was Amir bin Rabi'ah (may Allah be pleased with him), the ally of Banu Adi bin Ka'b, and with him was his wife Layla bint Abi Hathmah bin Amir bin Abdullah bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with them).

Reference / Source: (2) This is in "Sirat Ibn Hisham" 4/ 470, and it is the narration of al-Bakka'i from Ibn Ishaq.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Except that in it, "Ghanim" is mentioned in Layla's lineage instead of "'Amir", and both are correct. For Ibn Ishaq, giving her lineage in another place (as in Sirat Ibn Hisham 1/ 322), said: "Layla bint Abi Hathmah bin Hudhafah bin 'Amir bin Abd Allah bin 'Awf". So here, in the author's narration, he traced her to her grandfather's grandfather "'Amir", and omitted Hudhafah and Ghanim from the lineage for brevity. See also Mus'ab al-Zubayri's "Nasab Quraysh" p. 369 - 370.
Reference / Source: Ibn Sa'd narrated in "Tabaqat" 3/ 359 and 360 from Muhammad bin 'Umar al-Waqidi, with two chains of his reaching 'Amir bin Rabi'ah himself, that he stated explicitly the same as what Ibn Ishaq said here.
