أخبرني أبو زكريا العَنبَري، حدثنا الحسن بن علي بن نصر، حدثنا الزُّبير بن بَكّار، قال: كان عبد الله بن الأرقم بن عبد يَغُوثَ على بيت المال في زمن عُمر، وصدرًا من ولاية عثمان إلى أن توفي، وكانت له صحبةٌ (1).
Al-Zubayr bin Bakkar relates that Abdullah bin al-Arqam bin Abd Yaghuth was in charge of the public treasury (Bayt al-Mal) during the caliphate of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and in the early part of the caliphate of Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) until his death. And he had the honour of being a Companion.
