Note / Clarification: (3) This man is named in this way in the lineage of al-Nu'man bin Muqarrin, and likewise in "Jamharat Ansab al-Arab" of Ibn Hazm (p. 202), whereas in the rest of the books of biographies and genealogies he is named "A'idh", as al-Waqidi will name him later.
Note / Clarification: (4) In the manuscripts this name was corrupted into "Hujayn" (with nun). The correction was made from the sources on genealogy and the books of biographies in which the lineage of Banu Muqarrin appears. No one among the names of the Arabs is known to be called "Hujayn" (with nun).
