حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الله الحافظ، حدثنا يحيى بن محمد بن يحيى، حدثنا علي بن المَديني وعبد الله بن عبد الوهاب الحَجَبي قالا: حدثنا عبد العزيز بن محمد، عن ابن أخي ابن شهاب، عن عمِّه، عن محمد بن جُبير بن مُطعِم، عن عبد الله بن عَدي بن الحَمْراء، قال: وَقَفَ رسولُ الله ﷺ على الحَزْوَرةِ، فقال: "والله إني لأعلَمُ أنكِ خيرُ أرضِ الله، وأحبُّ أرض الله إليَّ، ولولا أني أُخرِجتُ منك ما خَرجتُ" (1). ذكرُ مناقب خالد بن عُرْفُطةَ ﵁ -
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Adi bin al-Hamra' (may Allah be pleased with him) states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at al-Hazwarah in Makkah and said (addressing Makkah): "By Allah, I know well that you are the best land of Allah and, of the land of Allah, the most beloved to me; and had I not been driven out of you, I would never have left (you)."

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد قوي من أجل عبد العزيز بن محمد - وهو الدَّراوردي - إلّا أنه وهمَ في إسناده هو أو شيخه محمدُ بن عبد الله ابن أخي الزهري، فقال فيه: محمد بن جبير عن عبد الله بن عدي، والمحفوظ فيه عن الزهري: عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن عن عبد الله بن عدي كما سلف برقم (4317) وكما سيأتي برقم (5939)، ولفظه فيهما: "وأحب أرض الله إلى الله"، وهو المعروف المشهور في رواية الحديث.
Grading: (1) This hadith is sahih.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This chain is "strong" (qawi) because of "'Abd al-'Aziz bin Muhammad" (who is al-Darawardi), except that he or his teacher "Muhammad bin 'Abd Allah" (the nephew of al-Zuhri) made an error (wahm) in the chain. He said in it: "Muhammad bin Jubayr from 'Abd Allah bin 'Adi", whereas the preserved (mahfuz) chain from al-Zuhri is: "from Abu Salamah bin 'Abd al-Rahman from 'Abd Allah bin 'Adi", as passed under number (4317) and as will come under number (5939). In both places the wording is: "and the land of Allah most beloved to Allah", and this is what is known and well-known in the narration of the hadith.
وأخرجه الطبراني في "الأوسط" (454) عن الحميدي، عن عبد العزيز الدراوردي، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Tabarani recorded it in "al-Mu'jam al-Awsat" (454) from al-Humaydi, from 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Darawardi, with this chain.
