Hisham bin Urwah narrates from his father that Abu Sufyan bin al-Harith bin Abd al-Muttalib was the most beloved of Quraysh to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). (Earlier) he was very harsh towards him (peace and blessings be upon him), but when he accepted Islam he became the dearest of people to him (peace and blessings be upon him).
