Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 5083

(2) جاء في نسخنا الخطية: سعيد، وهو تحريف، لأنَّ المشهور بالرواية عن يعقوب بن إبراهيم - وهو ابن سعد الزهري - هو عُبيد الله بن سَعْد بن إبراهيم ابن أخي يعقوب، وقد صوَّبنا هذا التحريف من إسنادين آخرين عند المصنف من هذه الطريق برقم (5279) و (5754) وقد وقع فيهما نسبة عُبيد الله بن سعد زُهريًّا، وفي أحدهما قال: حدثنا عمي يعقوب بن إبراهيم. وجاء على الصواب في "إتحاف المهرة" لابن حجر (24697). على أنَّ لمحمد بن إسحاق الثقفي - وهو السّرّاج - شيخًا آخر اسمه عُبيد الله بن سَعيد بن يحيى اليشكُري النيسابوري، ولكن عُبيد الله هذا لا رواية له عن يعقوب بن إبراهيم الزهري.
Technical note / Correction of a name: Our manuscripts have (the narrator's name as) "Sa'id", which is a distortion. For the one well known for narrating from Ya'qub bin Ibrahim (who is Ibn Sa'd al-Zuhri) is "'Ubayd Allah bin Sa'd bin Ibrahim", the nephew of Ya'qub. We corrected this error from two other chains of the author (al-Hakim) (numbers 5279 and 5754), where 'Ubayd Allah bin Sa'd is given the nisbah "al-Zuhri", and in one of them he states explicitly: "My paternal uncle Ya'qub bin Ibrahim narrated to me." In Ibn Hajar's "Ithaf al-Maharah" (24697) the name also appears correctly ('Ubayd Allah).
Note: Although Muhammad bin Ishaq al-Thaqafi (al-Sarraj) has another teacher, "'Ubayd Allah bin Sa'id bin Yahya al-Yashkuri", he has no narration from Ya'qub bin Ibrahim al-Zuhri.
