حدَّثناه أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا العباس بن محمد الدُّوْري، حدثنا مالك بن إسماعيل، حدثنا أسباط بن نصر الهَمْداني، عن إسماعيل بن عبد الرحمن السُّدِّي، عن صُبَيح مولى أم سلمة، عن زيد بن أرقَمَ، عن النبي ﷺ: أنه قال لِعليٍّ وفاطمةَ والحَسنِ والحُسين: "أنا حَرْبٌ لمن حاربتُم، وسِلْمٌ لمن سالمتُم" (2).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ali, Sayyidah Fatimah, Sayyiduna al-Hasan and Sayyiduna al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them): "I am at war with whomever you fight, and I guarantee peace for whomever you make peace with."

(2) إسناده ضعيف، صُبيح مولى أم سلمة في حاله جهالة، روى عنه اثنان وذكره ابن حبان في "ثقاته"، وقال الترمذي في "سننه": ليس بمعروف، وذكره البخاري في "التاريخ الكبير" 4/ 317 وقال فيه: مولى زيد بن أرقم قلنا: وقد تفرد بهذا الخبر.
Grading: Its chain is "da'if"; there is "unknownness" (jahalah) in the status of Subayh, the mawla of Umm Salamah. Two narrators narrated from him and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat", but al-Tirmidhi said in his "Sunan": "He is not known." Al-Bukhari mentioned him in "al-Tarikh al-Kabir" (4/ 317) and called him "the mawla of Zayd bin Arqam".
Technical note: We say: he is "alone" in narrating this report.
وأخرجه ابن ماجه (145)، وابن حبان (6977) من طرق عن أبي غسان مالك بن إسماعيل النَّهْدي، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (145) and Ibn Hibban (6977) recorded it via several routes from Abu Ghassan Malik bin Isma'il al-Nahdi, with this chain.
وأخرجه الترمذي (3870) من طريق علي بن قادِم عن أسباط بن نصر، به. وقال: هذا حديث غريب، إنما نعرفه من هذا الوجه وصبيح مولى أم سلمة ليس بمعروف.
Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (3870) recorded it via 'Ali bin Qadim, from Asbat bin Nasr, with this chain, and said: "This hadith is gharib; we only know it from this route, and Subayh the mawla of Umm Salamah is not known."
وقد تابع إسماعيلَ بن عبد الرحمن السُّدِّي عليه إبراهيمُ بن عبد الرحمن بن صُبَيح، يرويه عن جده صُبيح عن زيد بن أرقم. أخرجه أبو طاهر الذهلي في "جزئه" بانتقاء الدارقطني (154) من طريق أبي عوانة الوضاح بن عبد الله اليشكري، والطبرانيُّ في "الكبير" (2620) و (5031)، وفي "الأوسط" (7259)، وأبو طاهر المخلِّص في "المُخلِّصيات" (2715)، والمصنف في "فضائل فاطمة الزهراء" (62)، وابن عساكر 13/ 219 من طريق سليمان بن قَرْم، كلاهما عن أبي الجَحّاف، وأخرجه الطبراني في "الأوسط" (2854) من طريق أبي مضاء، كلاهما (أبو الجَحّاف وأبو مضاء) عن إبراهيم بن عبد الرحمن بن صُبَيح، عن جده صُبَيح، عن زيد بن أرقم.
Corroborating chains: Isma'il bin 'Abd al-Rahman al-Suddi was corroborated by "Ibrahim bin 'Abd al-Rahman bin Subayh", who narrates it from his grandfather "Subayh", from Zayd bin Arqam. Abu Tahir al-Dhuhli recorded it in his "Juz'" (selection of al-Daraqutni: 154) via Abu 'Awanah al-Waddah bin 'Abd Allah al-Yashkuri; and al-Tabarani in "al-Kabir" (2620, 5031) and "al-Awsat" (7259), Abu Tahir al-Mukhallis in "al-Mukhallisiyyat" (2715), the author (al-Hakim) in "Fada'il Fatimah" (62) and Ibn 'Asakir (13/ 219) via Sulayman bin Qarm; both of them narrate from Abu al-Jahhaf. Al-Tabarani also recorded it in "al-Awsat" (2854) via Abu Mada'. Both of them (Abu al-Jahhaf and Abu Mada') narrate it from Ibrahim bin 'Abd al-Rahman bin Subayh, from his grandfather Subayh, from Zayd bin Arqam.
وأخرجه المصنّف في "فضائل فاطمة (63)، وابن عساكر 13/ 218 من طريق المنذر بن محمد بن اللخمي، قال: حدثني أبي، حدثنا عمي، عن أبيه، عن أبان بن تغلب، عن أبي إسحاق السَّبيعي، عن زيد بن أرقم. قال الدارقطني عن المنذر بن محمد: متروك الحديث.
Reference / Source: The author recorded it in "Fada'il Fatimah" (63) and Ibn 'Asakir (13/ 218) via al-Mundhir bin Muhammad bin al-Lakhmi, who said: my father narrated to me, from my paternal uncle, from his father, from Aban bin Taghlib, from Abu Ishaq al-Sabi'i, from Zayd bin Arqam.
Criticism (jarh): Al-Daraqutni said about al-Mundhir bin Muhammad: "He is matruk al-hadith."
