It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "I had resolved to send men to the various regions to teach people the Sunnahs and the obligatory duties, just as Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) sent the disciples." It was said to him (peace and blessings be upon him): "Why do you not send Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I cannot do without the two of them. In the religion, these two are (to me) just like the hearing and the sight."
Hafs bin Umar al-Adani is alone in narrating this hadith from Mis'ar.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is "extremely feeble" (wahin bi-marrah) because of Hafs bin Umar (Ibn Dinar al-Ubulli) (as al-Dhahabi said in al-Talkhis); indeed some (such as Abu Hatim and al-Saji) called him a liar. Reference / Source: Ibn Adi (al-Kamil 2/389) and Ibn Asakir (30/114, 44/69) recorded it via Muhammad bin Sulayman bin al-Harith al-Baghandi > Hafs bin Umar al-Ubulli with this same chain. Important point: The earlier hadith of Abd Allah bin al-Muttalib bin Hantab (no. 4481) and the two supporting reports mentioned there make this one unnecessary.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): The author specified him as "al-Adani", whereas he is "al-Ubulli", as he is specified in al-Baghandi's narration, and that is correct. In any case, "al-Adani" is also da'if al-hadith (weak in hadith).
