حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أحمد بن عبد الجبار، حدثنا يونس بن بُكير، عن ابن إسحاق، قال: حدثني عاصم بن عُمر بن قتادة، عن عبد الرحمن بن جابر بن عبد الله، عن أبيه قال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ إِذا ذَكَرَ أصحابَ أُحدٍ يقول: "أما واللهِ لَوَدِدتُ أني غُودِرتُ مع أصحابي نُحْصَ الجبل"، يقول: قُتِلتُ معهم (1).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mention his companions of Uhud, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: "By Allah! I truly wished that I too had been left with my Companions at the foot of the mountain (that is, martyred there)."
