It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Paradise has a hundred levels; between every two levels is a distance like that between the earth and the heaven. The highest level among them is al-Firdaws, and from it the rivers of Paradise flow forth. So when you ask Allah, ask Him for al-Firdaws."

Grading: This hadith is sahih, and all the narrators of this chain are thiqah. Technical note / Defect ('illah): There is a disagreement over it concerning Ata' bin Yasar: it is narrated from him from Ubadah (as here), from him from Abu Hurayrah and Abu Sa'id (as in the previous hadith), and from him from Mu'adh bin Jabal (as in Ahmad 36/22087 and others). General principle: This disagreement does no harm, because all the Companions are upright ('udul). Identification of names: Abu al-Walid al-Tayalisi is Hisham bin Abd al-Malik, and Hammam is Ibn Yahya al-Awdhi. Reference / Source: Ahmad (37/22695) narrated it from Affan bin Muslim alone, with this chain. Reference / Source: Ahmad (22695) and (22738), and al-Tirmidhi (2530), narrated it via two routes from Hammam.
