حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أَسِيد بن عاصم، حدثنا الحسين بن حفص، عن سفيان. وأخبرنا أحمد بن جعفر القَطِيعي - واللفظ له - حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل، حدثنا أبي، حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، عن سفيان، حدثني الأشعث بن سُلَيم، عن الأسود بن هلال، عن ثعلبة بن زَهْدَم قال: كنا مع سعيد بن العاص بطَبَرِسْتان فقال: أيُّكم صلَّى مع رسول الله ﷺ صلاةَ الخوف؟ فقال حذيفة: أنا، فقام حذيفةُ فصفَّ الناسَ خَلْفَه، وصفًّا موازيَ العدو، فصلى بالذين خَلْفَه ركعةً، ثم انصرف هؤلاء مكانَ هؤلاء، وجاء أولئك فصلى بهم ركعةً ولم يَقضُوا (1).

Al-Aswad bin Hilal narrates from Tha'labah bin Zahdam, who said: We were with Sa'id bin al-As in Tabaristan, and he asked: "Which of you prayed the fear prayer with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I did." So Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and formed a row of people behind him, and positioned a row facing the enemy. Then he led those behind him in one rak'ah. Then these went to the place of the others, and the others came, and he led them (too) in one rak'ah, and they did not make up (the rest of the prayer).

(1) إسناده صحيح. يحيى بن سعيد: هو القطان، وسفيان: هو الثوري، والأشعث بن سليم: هو الأشعث بن أبي الشعثاء.
Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih. Yahya al-Qattan and Sufyan al-Thawri are among its narrators. Ash'ath refers to Ibn Abi al-Sha'tha'.
وأخرجه أبو داود (1246)، والنسائي (1931)، وابن حبان (1452) و (2425) من طرق عن يحيى بن سعيد القطان، بهذا الإسناد.

وأخرجه أحمد 38/ (23268)، والنسائي (1930) من طريق وكيع، وأحمد 38/ (23389) عن عبد الرحمن بن مهدي، كلاهما عن سفيان الثوري، به.
